Lindsey trained as a solicitor in the City and qualified in 2001. She was a Partner for over 7 years, latterly heading up the Manchester employment team of a national firm. She specialises in both contentious and non-contentious matters for Plc’s, SME’s and the public sector. Her experience includes providing complicated TUPE advice (including advising on insolvency situations), advising and negotiating on executive terminations and drafting of settlement agreements, providing specialist advice on all matters surrounding Recruitment law, providing advice in relation to reorganisations and redundancies, advising in relation to the enforceability of restrictive covenants including defending and pursing high court injunctions, defending unfair dismissal and discrimination claims, drafting and advising on service agreements, contracts of employment and company handbooks.
As a lawyer she was consistently named as a leading individual in both Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500 guides for the legal profession in which clients’ stated – she “helps steer clients away from heated situations” and “she really takes time to understand the business and applies her excellent technical skills to solve issues”. She was quoted as being “first rate” by Legal 500.
Lindsey has specialist experience in sectors such as Recruitment (acting for SME and AIM listed companies), Professional (acting for national accountancy, legal practices and global asset managers), Manufacturing, Media and Marketing, Financial Services, Property Management, Social Housing (acting for various ALMO’s and Housing Associations) and Sport.
Lindsey is a regular ‘go to’ for employment law expertise for the BBC, appearing on the breakfast sofa and radio.
