The government have published yet a further update on the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme today. They have now confirmed that the qualification date, when the employee has to have been on the employer’s payroll, has changed from 28 February to 19 March 2020. An RTI submission notifying payment in respect of that employee to HMRC must have been made on or before 19 March 2020.
